Plans for a Virtual Palmer Museum

After a visit to the museum for source material- textures, characteristics, and a sense of the space- Alan and I began altering the campus landscape so that we could provide a secluded spot for a virtual Zoller Gallery. That area- a large room apart from Palmer, but connected by a long dark glass hallway, has been completed enough for a show. Adjustments to the space can be made as we get a sense of how people will interact; feedback will be useful before we move forward with a larger build. I think gathering personal images from ETS staff may be a great way to learn the texture and sizing techniques involved in displaying works and attaching info cards. A "not ready for prime time" training ground. I'll send out invitations soon, and when the display is ready, maybe it will generate some enthusiasm, and expose those not inclined to virtual worlds to give us a visit.
