Lately, every time I enter SL to do work, I find myself side-tracked by someone checking out our space who wants to talk. Imagine! You've heard stories that SL is empty. Maybe they are not not looking in the right place. I've had conversations with people all over the world - people from other universities, PSU alums, students using SL for class projects, etc. It's to the point where I'll have to go to my island in the sky that is inaccessible to most just to get my work done.

Of course, I'm being sarcastic here. One of the best things about SL is the social aspect. There is a sense of presence you bring into SL that just doesn't exist in outher mediums. It's acceptable, nay, paramount, that you talk to people when you are in SL. What happens then? Wonderful things. Friendships are formed, big ideas discussed, and a piece of the virtual worlds puzzle falls into place for you.
